A little about Sarajane Case – she is a native of Asheville and has been taking pictures for as long as she can remember. In her freshman year of college, she signed up for a photography class just for fun. After her first day in class, she declared it her major and graduated with a degree in Photojournalism from Gardner-Webb University. After working for a while at a newspaper, she quickly realized she wanted to put her skills to work just a little differently, so began photographing weddings in 2007, adding boudoir photography in 2011. She has found that her passion “lies in not only taking a great photograph, but also in making my subjects aware of the value within themselves”.
A little more about the class – Unlike many professional photographers, Sarajane is passionate about sharing her wealth of knowledge and happy to provide many tips and suggestions that will make your pictures amazing! Sarajane will assess your current level of experience, and what equipment you are working with, and you will also discuss your goals and interests; do you want to take pictures of friends and family members or are landscapes more your style, etc. You will then get into the specifics of photography, including hands on demonstrations with your own equipment. In the final portion of the class, you will venture out to put your new skills to the test. The subject matter in our area abounds and there is always something amazing to photograph.
Whether you are just a beginner or have a good grasp on the basics but want to take your photography to the next level, Sarajane Case, with her effervescent personality and incredible teaching skills, will help you capture the kinds of images you have always wanted to. A one-on-one painting session (water color or oil) with Jo Ridge Kelley of Curve Studios in the River Arts District, Asheville. You will also find Jo's contemporary impressionistic mountain scape originals in downtown Waynesille at Twigs and Leaves Gallery.
Nature's colors will inspire as you paint in your choice of watercolor or oils. Using a limited palette, mixing fresh clean color, learn to compose your paintings simply and effectively, creating a strong focal point. Understand light and shade and learn to paint with confidence, watching step by step demonstration. Capture the essence opf loose florals or mountain mist, and take home a beautiful painting ready to be framed! Supplies if required are an additional $25.

There's no better way to experience the larger rivers of WNC and Eastern Tennessee than in a boat. Float trips cover between 3-9 miles of river depending on the trip. Floating is preferred by many as the most effective way to fish the larger rivers and enjoy a lot of magnificent scenery.
