FOLKMOOT USA
 - July 22 through August 1, 2010
"Experience the World in Western North Carolina!"  Folkmoot USA is an international folk festival where over 350 dancers and musicians from countries throughout the world travel to Waynesville NC for two weeks of traditional performances.  Out of more than 300 annual submissions, about ten countries are invited to participate each summer after a highly competitive juried process.  The 2010 Festival is proud to welcome Russia, India, Latvia, United Kingdom (Irish), France, Switzerland, Jordan, Turkey, Poland and Portugal.  Held for 26 consecutive yers, Folkmoot USA is North Carolina's Official International Festival and has been designated "One of the Top Twenty Events in the Southeast."  The Folkmoot Festival attracts 100,000 visitors to Western North Carolina each year.
