Just wanted to let you guys know that we truly enjoyed our first Bed and Breakfast you guys made us feel at home. It was like staying at a top resort but a whole lot more comfortable. The Clyde Ray Suite was unbelievable and Breakfast was top notch. The town of Waynesville had some great shopping and the restaurants were great. This was our first time but not the last glad that Mike referred us to the Oak Hill B&B;.

My now fiance chose Oak Hill as the place to propose marriage to me. He couldn't have chosen a better place - a beautiful house, gorgeous rooms, and tremendous service and hospitality. Deb and Shell could not have been more helpful in assisting Don in preparing the perfect evening for me, including a good dinner, cozy fire, champagne, roses and a plate of chocolates. I can't express how thankful I am for their help in making such a special occasion so perfect!

Our getaway at Oak Hill was perfect. Shell and Deb are consummate proprietors and hosts. Their professional experience is evident in their thoughtful attention to every detail in the exceptional furnishings, food, and service that make up the Oak Hill experience. As a seasoned traveller who seldom finds a B&B;that meets my exacting standards, I was overjoyed to find this gem in the casual village of Waynesville. We wish you the best, Deb and Shell, and look forward to visiting with you again and again!

My husband and I chose Oak Hill for our honeymoon. It was by far, the best experience I've ever had at a B&B;! The attention to detail is what makes this inn so special.
The decor is welcoming and gorgeous. Our room was so comfortable, yet elegant. The inn itself, and views from the porch are picture perfect. We were spoiled by the gourmet breakfasts and ready supply of snacks and drinks.
Shell and Deb, you were perfect hosts: friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, but not overbearing.
We cannot wait for our next visit - thank you for a wonderful honeymoon!

As the owner of a bed and breakfast myself, I look for outstanding accommodations when I take a short vacation. I was extremely happy with my too short visit to Oak Hill on Love Lane. Shell & Deb are consummate hosts and make the guest experience wonderful! Their attention to detail is evident everywhere in their beautiful inn from the very spacious guests rooms and lovely common areas to the gardens and porches. Comfortable, welcoming, luxurious without being stuffy, and lovely, this is a top notch bed and breakfast inn. Breakfast is a delight with delicious food and coffee. I am hoping to return with my husband for a longer stay to enjoy the many amenities that these warm and friendly innkeepers have thoughtfully provided for their guests. Thank you for everything!

We had the pleasure of returning to this charming Bed & Breakfast for our THIRD visit. Unfortunately it was only for one night and not several!! We have stayed at many B & B’s in the United States but this is rated at the top of our list! Shell & Deb’s multiple years of experience in the hotel business is expressed in serving every detail of pleasing and satisfying guests as you are graciously welcomed into this beautiful, attractive three story historical home located in a quiet neighborhood on Oak Hill among many shade trees. My husband and I have our favorite rooms, Bess Ray Howell Room and the Bobby Breeze Suite, but every room is so tastefully decorated I promise you will not be disappointed in any selection! The Inn is such a comfortable, lovely retreat with a wrap around porch lined with rockers and patio furniture overlooking the beautiful landscape of mountains in the distance. I wish my husband didn’t like to SHOP so much and would just like to relax at Oak Hill as much as I! You are also in for a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE with the unique, meticulously prepared, delicious, gourmet food that is served in different courses! I can rate this inn’s food up against the finest of chefs one can find in hotels and restaurants! We so appreciate Shell & Deb for opening this gorgeous Inn with their guests. We look forward to our next visit!!!!

Oak Hill is the Ritz Carlton of B&B;'s. This magnificent North Carolina historical house has been newly renovated and it is magnificent. Every room is decorated to its own uniqueness and one room is more exquisite then the next. The beds are extremely luxurious and comfortable. I cannot remember the last time we slept so good. In the morning we were treated to a delicious gourmet breakfast and great conversation with the owners and the other guests. Afternoon tea was served with freshly home baked goods that we enjoyed out on the veranda overlooking the mountains. Shell and Deb are warm, wonderful and talented people with years of experience in the hotel industry. They will cater to your every need. It is no wonder the visit was a five star experience. We also loved Waynesville and everything the town and surrounding area had to offer. Wish we could have stayed longer and cannot wait to return. Kerstin and Danny

I highly recommend Oak Hill to anyone traveling to the Waynesville area. I have been so spoiled by the service that Deb and Shell so graciously give; I don't think I can even look at another Bed and Breakfast. The house is so cute and comfortable, you truly feel like you are visiting family here. It's the perfect weekend getaway, you won't want to leave! I am looking forward to visiting Oak Hill again.

Anyone who is traveling in Western North Carolina and does not stay at Oak Hill need their heads examined! This was, hands down, the greatest stay of anywhere in my entire life. If you are looking for 100% customer satisfaction with great food, an amazing room, a beautiful home, warm and loving innkeepers, and a welcoming town like Waynesville, than please stay at Oak Hill. You will become addicted like I have. My girlfriend and I are already planning our next trip! I may never stay at another bed and breakfast anywhere else in the world, because there is no way they could compare.

We had the great pleasure of returning to Oak Hill for the third time over the Memorial Day holiday. Each time we visit our expectations are well exceeded! Each guest suite has its own personality and Deb & Shell are expert on helping to determine the best suite for each guest. They are there to please from morning til night. Breakfasts are outstanding; fresh baked goodies to go as you leave for the day; upon returning from sightseeing a welcome seat on the front veranda is so restful. The gardens and the mountains in the distance give great peace. When turning in at night your room has been refreshed, beds turned down, and chocolates on your pillow are waiting. The inn is very quiet and restful even with a full house. Oak Hill is a special retreat and we look forward to our next trip. The home is lovely, but the innkeepers are the very best. Awesome! It could be an 11, but we will settle for a 10! J&L;
