A Quick 2 Night Getaway
Day 1 – Check in to Oak Hill at 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, get settled in and enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine on the mountain view wrap around porch before dinner. Then take an easy stroll to one of our wonderful Waynesville restaurants downtown. Check out our favorites in the Things to Do section above! (maybe try one our awesome craft breweries!). When you get back from dinner head to the Fire Pit Terrace at Oak Hill to finish off the evening.
Day 2 – Enjoy your Oak Hill breakfast at 9:00 then make your first stop Main Street in Waynesville to take in some shopping and grab a box lunch at The Trailhead Bakery to take with you for a picnic on the Blue Ridge Parkway, after lunch go on a beautiful waterfall hike. (There are over 250 waterfall hikes within an hour of Oak Hill!) When you return to Oak Hill, relax on the porch and watch the birds in frenzy around the feeder. Go for an early dinner at another fantastic Waynesville restaurant and then take in a play at the HART Theatre or maybe a live music event at The Strand or The Classic Wineseller. Be sure to spend some time relaxing at the Fire Pit to end your day.
Day 3 – Enjoy another delicious Oak Hill breakfast at 9:00 and say your goodbyes to all of the new friends you made during your visit!
Make it a Three Night Stay to really get a taste of Western North Carolina!
Day 1 – Check in to Oak Hill at 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, get settled in and enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine on the mountain view wrap around porch. On Friday and Saturday night’s you can enjoy an evening of live music and dinner at The Classic Wineseller. After dinner, spend the remainder of the evening under the stars around the fire pit at Oak Hill.
Day 2 – Enjoy your Oak Hill breakfast at 9:00. Take the short walk to Main Street after breakfast for a little shopping in the morning and for lunch Grab a quick bite at one of Waynesville’s awesome craft breweries! Boojum Brewing Co. or Tipping Point Tavern both have great casual menus! In the afternoon, schedule a Brewery or Winery Tour with Leap Frog Tours. (Don’t forget to take some “Meandering Muffin” photos while you’re out and about!) After your tour, spend a little porch time before heading to dinner at another of Waynesville’s amazing restaurants, some of our favorites are Frog’s Leap Public House, Bourbon Barrel Beef and Ale, and Frankie’s Italian Trattoria.
Day 3 – Enjoy another delicious three course breakfast at Oak Hill at 9:00 a.m. After breakfast take the short drive to The Biltmore Estate for a day of touring this historic Asheville home. (Hint: Buy your Biltmore tickets in advance) After your tour check out some of the great shopping in downtown Asheville or The River Arts District. For a fun casual dinner, go to Banks Ave. in the trendy South Slope area of downtown Asheville. There you will find what we like to call the Trifecta! Buxton Hall BBQ, Catawba Brewing Co., and Vortex Donuts all in a row. After this indulgence you will surely need to relax by the fire pit before enjoying another amazing night’s sleep in your awesome room at Oak Hill! (You will be exhausted after this fun day!)
Day 4 – It’s time for one last scrumptious Oak Hill Breakfast!
